Hi, I’m Brit Chavez

Hi Brit Chavez is my corner of the internet for modern motherhood, small-apartment living in Los Angeles, and the kind of culture that makes everyday life feel richer. I’m a media founder with taste and an eye for style and authenticity. Everything you see here is curated—not to impress, but to make home and family life feel more meaningful and doable.

I share what we’re learning in real time: toddler snacks that actually get eaten on the go (ages 1–3), renter-friendly design that works in 700 square feet, and gentle essays about identity, money, and community. The aesthetic is beach-meets-city and lived-in—pieces you’ll use, spaces you can breathe in, and stories that feel like a conversation with a friend. I also spotlight LA makers and neighborhood gems because culture lives in the small, everyday choices we make.

My filter is simple: calm, useful, beautiful. If I wouldn’t bring it into my own home, it won’t make the cut. I care about ingredient labels, storage that hides the chaos, and routines that give us more time together. The edit stays small on purpose—curated so you don’t have to sift.

Before this, I founded Shop Latinx and spent years building media that put community first. Now I’m pouring that same editor’s eye into family life—crafting guides you can trust, pairing style with function, and sharing resources that meet you where you are.

If you’re new, start with the blog for snack lists and small-space ideas, browse my shop pages for the exact pieces we use, and join the newsletter for new guides, LA finds, and printable checklists. My DMs are open—say hi anytime.
